Howard Nevison’s Meeting With Well Known Figureheads & Performance Photographs
Howard Nevison – A Jewish Cantor Sings for the Pope John Paul II At the Vatican in honor of the Holocaust Memorial in Rome on April 7th, 1994. This was the first time the Vatican officially commemorated the Holocaust. Pope John Paul II was taken by Cantor Howard Nevisons’ voice claiming, “God has kissed your vocal chords.” Preparations for this star famous concert has been in the planning since 1991. The idea for the Holocaust Memorial concert was conceived by Gilbert Levine. Gilbert LEvin conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from London and wrote the program notes for Justice Records.
